Angela Akinyemi
Senior Analyst

Angela Akinyemi is a Senior Analyst in Market Research at JUST Capital. She is responsible for polling and engagement, which includes collecting the public’s views on how to define and evaluate corporate justness. Previous to JUST Capital, Angela worked in Equity Capital Markets at Credit Suisse, running analytics and doing research that the group relied on to advise clients on equity structure and transactions.

Angela is a graduate of Georgetown University, where she received her BA in Physics and minored in Math and French.


Paul Bentley
Director, Research Operations

Paul Bentley is Director of Research Operations at JUST Capital, working as part of the research team to structure and coordinate its many streams of work.

Prior to JUST Capital, Paul worked for the Australian Government in a range of senior policy positions, most notably as an adviser to the Australian Minister for Finance where he helped shape domestic economic and fiscal policy, framed two Federal budgets and advised in the areas of defense, immigration, foreign affairs, trade and tax policy.

Paul is a graduate of Curtin University, in Western Australia, where he received his BA with honors in Urban and Regional Planning.


Gabi Blumberg
managing Director, Products

Gabi manages corporate strategy for JUST Capital with particular focus on research and external outreach. She is working with the research team to launch the JUST rankings, ensuring they are aligned with commercial activities, partnerships and communications.

Prior to joining JUST Capital, Gabi worked at the pioneering British impact investing firm, Investing for Good. With a focus on mobilizing institutional capital into impact investments, she launched the first exchange-listed Charity Bond in the UK. She also co-authored The Good Investor, a book of best practice guidelines for impact investors. Gabi earned her MPA with Distinction from the London School of Economics and a BA in Economics from New York University.

Rob Brown
Head of Research

Rob is the Head of Research at JUST Capital. Prior to joining, he was Senior Portfolio Manager for AllianceBernstein Equity Strategies. Previously, Rob was Head of Equity Research for Nomura Securities International and worked at Morgan Stanley in various senior roles globally, including responsibility for the Global Macro Research team. Earlier, he was an economist at Bankers Trust in New York.

Rob serves on the boards of the READ Foundation and the Graduate School of Education at the Jewish Theological Seminary. He is adjunct faculty at the Heyman Center for Philanthropy at New York University.

He earned a BA, cum laude, in Economics and an MA in International Economics from Brandeis University, with joint coursework in econometrics at the Universite catholique de Louvain in Belgium.

Heidi Bush, CFA
Managing Director, Research

Heidi Bush is a Managing Director, Senior Sector Analyst at JUST Capital. She is responsible for evaluating Russell 1000 companies. Previous to Just Capital, Heidi was a Senior Equity Analyst at Lord Abbett & Co. covering small cap growth stocks. Prior to that, Heidi was an Equity Portfolio Manager and Analyst at the YMCA Retirement Fund, an equity and high yield analyst at New York Life Insurance Company and a corporate bond analyst at Kidder Peabody and Merrill Lynch.

Heidi received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from SUNY Albany. Heidi also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.


Sean Calvillo

Sean Calvillo is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of JUST Capital. As CFO, Sean is responsible for overseeing JUST Capital's financial activities. As COO, Sean is responsible for JUST Capital being as efficient as possible. As CTO, he leads technology strategy for products and operations. Previously, Sean spent 5 years at Bank of America enabling the consumer bank's customer experience business strategy with technology. Before Bank of America, Sean worked for TriTek Solutions (acquired by Perficient, Inc.), a system implementation consultancy, where he started and built their New York office. 

Sean is on the board of CoreDigitalWorks, which specializes in managing the dissemination of internal marketing and communications in large companies. In addition, Sean advises multiple sustainability investment focused family offices, including Armonia and Capital Institute. Sean has a BA in Business Administration with a focus on Computer Information Systems from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. 



Hernando Cortina, CFA
Senior Analyst, Research

Hernando Cortina is a Senior Analyst with JUST Capital, focused on ranking methodology, investable indices, and analysis of financial-sector companies.  Prior to joining JUST Capital, Hernando was a portfolio manager with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, a macro analyst with Lyncean Capital, and a global research strategist and equity index trader with Morgan Stanley. He started his career in Latin America equity research at Goldman Sachs.

Hernando earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Economics from MIT and an M.A. in Mathematical Finance from Columbia University. He was also awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Rob Du Boff, CFA
Senior Sector Analyst

Rob Du Boff is a Senior Sector Analyst at JUST Capital. He is focused on energy and industrial research, corporate governance, financial reporting, and more. Previous to JUST Capital, Rob was a Senior Equity Analyst at Oppenheimer & Co., covering the Oil & Gas Industry. Prior to that, he was a global equity analyst at Millennium Management, Merrill Lynch, and Value Line.

Rob received an MBA from NYU's Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.


Jean Ann Douglass
Director, Culture & Communications

Jean Ann is the Director for Culture & Communications at JUST Capital. She is responsible for internal company culture and external communications. Prior to joining JUST Capital, Jean Ann's career has spanned non-profit administration, interactive technology, and education. She was the Program Director for Insurance at Fractured Atlas, the largest arts service organization in America, frequently teaching workshops at national arts conferences & festivals. Jean Ann has served as an Adjunct Professor & Guest Lecturer in the Performance and Interactive Media Arts MFA program at Brooklyn College, teaching courses on interdisciplinary artistic collaboration and computer programming in performance art. Working in video design and interactive technology systems, she has designed for Off-Broadway, art galleries, and live music performance. She has worked in programming & administration at arts organizations including The Joyce Theater Foundation, Dancing In The Streets, & The Field.

Also a playwright and artist, Jean Ann holds an MFA in Performance and Interactive Media Arts from Brooklyn College, and a BFA from Newcomb College at Tulane University. Information about her artwork is available at


Johnny Falla
Director, Development

Johnny is Director of Development at JUST Capital. He is responsible for developing partnerships with foundations other institutional donors. Previous to JUST Capital, Johnny’s career has spanned the worlds of digital communications and brand strategy, international development, and venture philanthropy. He served as Engagement Director at Sub Rosa, a New York-based experiential design firm, where he focused primarily on projects in Nigeria on behalf of GE. His career started at the Skoll Foundation as an Associate Program Officer, working on the Skoll Awards for Social Entrepreneurship. He has also led digital marketing for Jeff Sachs’ Millennium Promise.

Johnny earned his Master in Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard, and holds a BA in International Relations from Stanford University. He is a 3D printing expert and serves as interim board chair for the Enable Community Foundation, which 3D prints radically affordable prosthetic devices for children in developing countries.
