Nikia Brown is the Associate, Advancement at JUST Capital. She is responsible for supporting JUST Capital’s Advancement Team through donor research and advancement operations. Previous to JUST Capital, Nikia worked for Teach for America Buffalo, where she developed their database management systems and external donor communications. Prior to that, Nikia also worked for YWCA of NYC, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and she also assisted the Scheduling and Advance Team of First Lady Michelle Obama. Nikia received her B.A. in Sociology and Psychology from the University at Albany, SUNY and a Master of Public Administration from Buffalo State College, SUNY.
Nikia is dedicated to empowering under-served communities and has a passion for combating educational and economic inequality, human trafficking, and mass incarceration.
