Watch JUST’s Alison Omens Explain What Sets Companies Supporting the Health of Workers, Families, and Communities Apart

Yesterday, JUST Chief Strategy Officer Alison Omens joined Sara Eisen and Wilfred Frost on CNBC’s Closing Bell to discuss our ranking of the Top 100 U.S. Companies Supporting Healthy Families and Communities and what sets the companies featured in this new research apart from their peers.

The top performers among this group are contributing to the overall health and well-being of communities across the country with actions “from paid sick leave to supporting workers’ families and helping workers make sure they’re making ends meet every month,” Alison explained. And, they’re delivering greater returns for shareholders with the companies on this list outperforming the Russell 1000 overall by nearly 5%.

“When we are looking at research on the business case for investing in workers, investing in training, investing in racial equity and DEI, over the long term we also see outperformance,” Alison said. “We see that those companies that are taking an investment, and perhaps some initial cost associated with it, are performing in the long term in a way that puts them above their peers.”

Watch the full conversation below to learn more on how companies that continue to prioritize the health of workers, families, and communities will stand out in a post-pandemic economy.
